Mary reminded us on Sunday that Joseph’s brothers threw him into the pit. When life didn’t make sense, Joseph carried on with God and kept trusting Him.

What do you do when you’re standing on the shoulders of those who came before you? Pastor Alec shares how two generations sacrificed, served and laid foundations that shaped his faith. As followers of Christ, we too have benefited from the prayers, faith and hard work of others. But what do we do with what we’ve received? This message challenges us to discover our God-given gifts, steward them well, and use them to build His Kingdom for the generations to come.

In this sermon, we explore the story of Naaman and the man healed at the pool, discovering that God wants to heal more than just our physical needs. Naaman had to humble himself, listen and obey, while the man at the pool had to look beyond the waters to Jesus. We’re encouraged to pray boldly for healing, trust God’s timing, and remain open to what He may want to heal in us while we wait.

Pastor Alec taught us to test everything we see online against Scripture.Why did the woman who had been bleeding for 12 years touch the hem of Jesus’ garment? “Hem” comes from the Hebrew “kanaph”, also used for “rays” in Malachi 4:2: “the sun of righteousness… will rise with healing in its rays.”
When we ask “Why?” and study Scripture in context, we uncover deeper truths. A reminder to know the Word for ourselves.

Guest Speaker Pastor Ishola reminds us that obedience is a non-negotiable Kingdom principle. As followers of Christ, we're called to partner with God, trust His voice, and live as a testimony to those around us. Drawing from Matthew 10:16, this message challenges us to walk faithfully, even through life's storms, knowing the world is watching. Be encouraged to trust God, obey Him, and stand firm in your faith.

Who are your friends?
Do your friends just tell you what you want to hear? Or do they tell you hard truths, even when you’re wrong. Good friendship has difficult conversations and sharing what the Bible says.
In Sunday 28th June, we were challenged by Pastor Alec to choose whether we listen to the advice of our friends or spiritually mature elders, whether leaders or wiser Christians.
